Drawing | City | Futures is
a collaborative art project coordinated by Urban Vision North
Staffordshire and RIBA North Staffordshire. With the primary
aim of engaging people in drawing their futures, this project
will be a key part of Architecture Week 2005.
Led by artist Mark Wood, Drawing
| City | Futures will have
several tangible outcomes, perhaps most noticeably the creation
of a gigantic cityscape made from dozens of drawings composed
to make a single vista. This will be displayed in a prime city
centre site through the summer of 2005.

Design Centre, is working to promote high quality urban and architectural
design in and around the North Staffordshire conurbation, as
a means of:
— Bringing about successful physical & economic
regeneration, & social
inclusion
— Creating a better & more sustainable urban environment,
improving the image of the area
— Raising the
quality of life for the citizens of today & tomorrow
