'Here is pathos, substance, dignity, interest, all packaged with a blisteringly idiosyncratic vision and crumpled compassion.

It's like Beryl Cook with an edge; but much better than that sounds.'

Photography has been central to my career, as a printmaker, graphic designer and lecturer.

Whilst freelancing for a local newspaper group, I have gained a great deal of experience in may aspects of reportage photography; from sports to funerals, in rain, in sleet and in the dark!

I'm available for work in the UK and abroad. My experience is particularly relevant to Event Photography and Reportage.

Directly related to my newspaper work: I am developing a project called ‘Fetes and Wakes’ a series of photographs taken at the summer festivals held in the Peak District during 2003; a comment on rural life in the 21st Century.

For more examples, take a look at the photography case studies on this web site and Fetes and Wakes and Things To Do On Sunday

All my photographic work is processed through a computer. Generally, I do this to crop and adjust the images.

However, I have considerable skill in image manipulation. These skills have been employed to create photographic illustrations for clients or to make art works as exemplified by Constructed Spaces or Things To Do On Sunday.

TRAINING COURSES
I have prepared and delivered image manipulation training courses for organisation and individuals.
